Marc Mariani

Marc was born and raised in Havre, MT.  His parents are Steve and Julie Mariani and he has two sisters, Stephanie and Katie.  He was awarded 10 athletic letters for the Havre Blue Ponies: 3 in football, 3 in basketball, and 4 in tennis.  Marc was a team captain as well as an All-State Wide Receiver and Defensive Back for the 2004 State Class "A" football Champion Blue Ponies.  In the fall of 2005 he would join the Montana Grizzlies football program as a non-preferred walk-on. 

After redshirting his first year he would play in all 14 games as a Freshman on special teams before earning the kick return and punt return duties as a Sophomore.  He would become a starter on offense as a Junior and Senior and be a part of two National Championship runner up teams for the Griz in '08 and '09.  Mariani finished his college career as one of the most successful receivers in school history with records in career receiving yards (3,018), receiving touchdowns (29) and career all-purpose yards (5,441).

Mariani would go on to be drafted 222nd overall to the Tennessee Titans in the 2010 NFL draft.  As a rookie he was selected to the 2011 Pro Bowl and set Oiler/Titan franchise records in kick returns and yards.  Mariani would play 7 total years in the NFL,  5 years with the Titans and 2 years with the Chicago Bears.  He would finish his NFL career with over 5,000 total return yards as well as 27 receptions.

Mariani now lives in Nashville with his wife Carly and their two children Maverick and Romee.
