Bill Sprinkle

Bill is an honoree for all his work for football while at National Football Foundation.

Sprinkle lettered three years each in football and track and two years in basketball for Great Falls Central. As a senior he was named all-state in football and basketball. He was named co-captain in the East-West Shrine Football game. In track, Sprinkle set a Class AA Eastern Division record in the 220-yard dash. In 1964, he also set an MSU high school indoor record in the 440-yard dash. Sprinkle was recruited by major colleges for football and in basketball including Notre Dame and others. He chose the University of Washington where he was a standout defensive back for the Huskies before embarking on a long career in athletics in Montana.

He won titles as an athlete and a coach, worked many years for the Montana High School Association and the Big Sky Conference in evaluating officials. Notably, while living in Helena, Bill raised many thousands of dollars for Montana high school football players while serving as Montana State director for the National Football Foundation. Bill and Danette are retired and now living in Bismarck, ND.

He and his wife Danette have two Daughters, Erin and Lacey along with a son, Danny, who now coaches basketball at his Dad’s alma Mater, the University of Washington.
