Dylan McFarland, University of Montana

Dylan McFarland was born in Kalispell, MT, in 1980 and graduated from Flathead High School. He went on to star for the Montana Grizzlies, where he led the way for some of Montana’s greatest rushers as a three-year starter at left tackle. In 2001, he helped lead Montana to the NCAA 1AA National Championship. He was a two-time All-American in 2002-2003and was named to six different All-American teams while also being a first-team All-Big Sky selection, according to his UM biography. In 2003, he was named the winner of the Steve Carlson team MVP Award and remains the only offensive lineman to ever receive that honor. He was twice awarded the Paul Weskamp Award for outstanding offensive lineman in 2002 and 2003, one of only eight to win the award more than once.

McFarland was drafted in the 7th round of the 2004 draft by the Buffalo Bills, where he remained for two seasons. He also played for the Hamburg Sea Devils of the NFL Europe League. He was inducted into the UM Sports Hall of Fame in 2024.
