Jordan Tripp, University of Montana

Jordan Tripp was born in Missoula, MT, in 1991 and graduated from Missoula Big Sky High School, where he was a team captain his senior year. He was an All-State and All-Conference pick as a senior, recording 72 tackles, including 13 for loss, and 12 sacks. He went on to play for the University of Montana from 2009 – 2013. As a true freshman, Tripp played in all 15 games, recording 23 tackles and recovering two fumbles – 2nd best on the team. In 2010, he started all 11 games and finished 2nd on the team with 99 tackles. His success continued his junior season, but he missed most of that year with a shoulder injury. Prior to the 2013 season, Tripp was named Big Sky Conference Preseason Defensive MVP. He started all 13 games and finished with a career-high 100 tackles (5.5 for loss), two sacks, and three interceptions. He was named a first-team All-Big Sky selection for the second consecutive season and was named a first-team FCS All-American by the AP. Tripp was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the 5th round of the 2014 draft and was released during final roster cuts, only to end up with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2016, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks and was eventually promoted to the active roster.  After suffering an injury, he was waived by the Seahawks but was later picked up by the Green Bay Packers. In 2017, Tripp signed with the Atlanta Falcons but was placed on injured reserve in October of that year after receiving a concussion. During his NFL career, Tripp played in 34 games (starting 2) and recorded 19 tackles (14 solo to go with two for loss).
